Per quel che ne possiamo capire noi di tessuti, la AST Decorative Fabrics, che ha un suo sito web all'indirizzo www.astfabrics.com, ci sembra una azienda perfettamente legittima.

Ne parliamo qui perché D., una nostra lettrice che ringraziamo, ci ha segnalato un annuncio molto vago su kijiji, rispondendo al quale si riceve una email che finge di provenire dalla AST e che propone, senza entrare molto nei dettagli, un lavoro che ci pare di capire sia in realtà la solita partecipazione alla pericolossima truffa dei bonifici (segui il link per dettagli).

Si tratterebbe dunque di una organizzazione delinquenziale dedita alla truffa e al riciclaggio che nasconde la sua attività usando come riferimento una azienda legittima che nulla ha a che fare con questo imbroglio. Non è una novità. Abbiamo già visto una simile strategia nel caso della Thorogood Timber.

Abbiamo immediatamente segnalato a kijiji le nostre perplessità su questo annuncio - basta cliccare in alto alla destra, sul link "segnala abuso" - e qui spieghiamo da dove nascono i nostri dubbi.

In primo luogo normalmente una azienda legittima di dimensioni tali da operare a livello mondiale non cerca collaboratori su una bacheca di annunci gratuiti ma, se lo dovesse fare, spenderebbe il suo nome e non ricorrerebbe ad un annuncio praticamente anonimo.

Inoltre è difficile pensare che una offerta seria di lavoro sottolinei che "Non c'è bisogno di competenze professionali per lavorare". Anzi, questa è una tipica frase che fa temere per il peggio.

Ma vediamo l'email che si riceve rispondendo a quest'annuncio.

Ci arriva da tale Kelly Shubb, nome di cui non troviamo traccia nel sito della AST e, per dirla tutta, nemmeno nell'intero web. Inoltre questa presunta Kelly, che sarebbe la "Director of Human Resources", non scrive da un indirizzo della sua azienda ma da hotmail.com - impensabile per una azienda reale che dovrebbe operare in mezzo mondo. Se volessimo toglierci gli ultimi dubbi useremmo i contatti indicati nella pagina apposita sul sito ufficiale per chiedere in AST cosa ne sanno di questa presunta offerta di lavoro.

Il lavoro stesso è indicato anche nell'email in modo poco chiaro. Si sottolinea di nuovo che non c'è bisogno di competenze particolari e si accenna solo di passaggio quello che pensiamo sia il vero succo della storia: "Fund Management with our clients in Europe". Siamo praticamente certi che ci chiederanno di accettare su un nostro conto il versamento di un bonifico da presunti "clienti" e che dovremmo prelevare contanti e spedirli loro via Western Union o affini. Insomma, ci chiederanno di metterci nei guai per conto loro.

Raccomandiamo perciò di non rispondere. Nemmeno per insultarli come meriterebbero.
